The meeting was called to order at 8:16 AM.

Excused absence: Bernadette Burgess, Ron Rencurrel
Bob Donahoe announced that he had received a resignation from Beverly Hobbs who has moved from
the area. There will be three vacancies at the next appointment period.
Minutes of March 7, 2007 were approved.
Old Business
Share the Road Signs: Bob has ordered 14 signs and contacted the CCNS for approval for the two
on Seashore property. Twelve were in the original plan and he also plans to put one on Kingsbury Beach
Road, which was suggested by the Board of Selectmen. We expect to complete the project by mid May.
Safety on Brackett Road: Don and Bob checked the edge of the road and there is no extra pavement
that could be used for a bike lane. Bob still needs to prepare the letter to Ms. Burgess regarding our hopes
for the overlay district. Dave is still working on information on the possible path from Brackett Landing to
the businesses at Route 6.
Tour de Trail.: Bob attended the first meeting with Stu deLima. The ride will be sponsored by the Orleans
Chamber of Commerce. The event will occur on July 8. Members are asked to promote the event by
cycling in the Orleans July 4 parade.
Possible Parking at Brackett Road: A small private property has been identified on the north side of
Brackett Road adjacent to the Rail Trail. This may be a candidate for town acquisition for rail trail parking.
Pan-Mass Challenge: This will take place on August 5 and will again run on the bike trail from Kingsbury
Beach Road to the end of the trail in Wellfleet. Bob has been in touch with the Road Coordinator for the
event. He will forward our concerns from observations last year. We will help man areas not covered last year.
congestion. We will encourage widespread notice to try to keep non-participants off the trail during the
Challenge.
Work activities Sign-Up: Bob circulated a sheet for members to indicate the events they would assist with.
The option of purchasing shirts or vests for use at events was discussed but no decision made. Bob and Bonnie
are working with a vendor to obtain quotes.
New Business
Judy Parmelee asked about developing a biking handout for the Eastham Visitor Booth. She will follow up on
this with the Chamber of Commerce.
Next meeting is Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at 8:15 AM.
